Junior Analyst, Sales

 

Summary:

This position will provide essential analytical support enabling Sales business development, working with all PRH sales teams and various other departments around the company.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Providing analytical support for Sales business initiatives
  2. Assist in preparing presentations for sales business initiatives and marketplace updates
  3. Providing regular (weekly and monthly) reporting on the book marketplace, customers, divisions, and top titles for use by sales, senior management, and publisher.

 

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of related experience which includes working with data and/or reportings of business analytics experience;
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (i.e. vlookups, arrays, macros, etc.)
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong PowerPoint and general presentation creation skills, with an emphasis on data visualization
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate across all levels within a company
  • Comfortable working with numbers, including the ability to analyze and present complex information from multiple data sources concisely
  • Adaptable with the ability to quickly learn new information systems and integrate them into existing processes
  • Superb attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
  • Able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

 

Preferred Qualifications, if any:

  • Familiarity with business intelligence systems (i.e. PowerBI, Business Objects, Tableau, etc.) is a plus
  • Prior experience within publishing, media, or at a consulting company is a plus
