Jr Analyst/Analyst - Sales (Hybrid)

The PRH International Sales & Marketing team is looking for a Junior Analyst or Analyst to provide essential analytical support on sales and category trends in the international marketplace.

 

Specific responsibilities include:

 

  1. Provide analytical support for Sales business initiatives, including regular reporting on the book marketplace, customers, competition, authors and top titles. 
  2. Maintain reports in the international PowerBI dashboard, creating new reports as well as making enhancements to existing reports.  
  3. Data Systems Management including overseeing CRM and rep code assignments for international  
  4. Assist in creating presentations for sales initiatives and updates; analyze information, draw conclusions, and make suggestions based on data.   
  5. Assist Sales Managers and Directors with research and reviews upon request. 
  6. Creates ad hoc reports including but not limited to exception reports, open order reports, monthly key account business reviews, returns reports, and title analysis as requested. 
  7. Work with department colleagues to analyze trends internally and industry wide and provide postmortem analysis of lead titles, marketing initiatives, and category reviews. 
  8. Attend and present at meetings with the international sales & marketing team, publishers, and accounts as needed.  
  9. Contribute to quarterly and annual sales analysis to surface opportunity titles and trends to help discover opportunities for market growth. 
  10. Partner with business development and processes team to introduce new data projects. 
  11. Works with internal and external stakeholders to initiate, plan, and execute assigned projects and responsible to ensuring the completion of such projects.

 

Please apply if you meet the following requirements: 

 

  • Minimum of 1 year of related experience in publishing and or data analysis. Minimum of 2 years along with experience in PowerBI or related field to be considered as an Analyst.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (i.e. v-lookups, arrays, macros, etc.) 
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate across all levels within a company 
  • Comfortable working with numbers, including the ability to analyze and present complex information from multiple data sources concisely 
  • Adaptable with the ability to quickly learn new information systems and integrate them into existing processes 
  • Experience with PowerBI or related preferred.
  • Strong PowerPoint and general presentation creation skills, with an emphasis on data visualization 
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects 
  • Able to shift priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment 

This will be a hybrid role with in office responsibilities. We will consider candidates who can work from a commutable distance to our offices at 1745 Broadway, which includes the tri-state area (NJ, CT, & PA). 

 

The salary at the Junior level is $61,000; The salary range at the Analyst level is $66,500.00 - $70,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to Company results.
