The Penguin Random House Audio Group is seeking a Digital Marketing Analytics Manager, who will coordinate and support consumer data initiatives for audiobook titles and related campaigns across the whole Audio Division. This role will support the marketing group by providing analysis on site traffic patterns, marketing channel performance, products purchased, and customer engagement. Using various tools including, but not limited to, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Localytics, Smartsheet, and Excel, the Manager will deliver critical analysis to drive business decisions, optimize marketing programs, support customer engagement, and improve customer experience. The ideal candidate will be adept at analyzing and synthesizing information to ensure marketing performance visibility on all channels and tests to facilitate sound decision making across all marketing initiatives.


The Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead data collection initiatives from existing databases and tools, including inbound visitor data, email response data, and social media accounts
  • Coordinate data aggregation with the corporate consumer database and liaise with the corporate team for proper data management
  • Set and track key performance metrics and conduct trend analysis, providing actionable insights to assist with direction planning for marketing spend
  • Participate in the imprint and divisional meetings to share learnings and expertise
  • Compile and deliver clear and succinct reports to the marketing and social media teams
  • Review and recommend changes to existing practices for increased efficiency
  • Create reporting templates in relevant platforms for recurring requests; keep abreast of new technologies and platforms as applicable
  • Analyze data from the email client, website traffic reporting tools, and paid marketing performance, including subscriber acquisition analysis, and relay results and opportunities to team
  • Recommend design and content changes based on consumer behavior for all applicable programs
  • Contribute to content creation and development for web, email, and marketing initiatives

 


The Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of analytics and email experience
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel ability
  • Experience with web analytics, consumer insight and email deployment tools (Adobe Analytics/Omniture, Google Analytics, Localytics, Cheetah Digital, Hitwise, etc.) and online marketing metrics
  • A passion and interest in telling stories from data
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized and able to multitask
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member, as well as independently
  • Experience building and deploying consumer marketing email
  • Familiarity with digital ad metrics
  • Demonstrates an 'Entrepreneurial Spirit'
  • Brings new ideas and solutions to the group and is interested in experimenting with emerging technologies
