Associate, Marketing Knopf Doubleday (Hybrid)

We are seeking an Associate within the advertising and promotion department of the Knopf Doubleday group.  This Associate will assist the Director of Creative Services with advertising campaign management, tracking of campaign spends, purchase order creation, invoice processing, data entry, and sales conference coordination.  This position reports to the VP, Director of Creative Services. 

 

The Knopf Doubleday Group has long been known as a publisher of distinguished hardcover fiction and nonfiction. Recent and forthcoming authors John Grisham, Gabrielle Zevin, Michelle Zauner, David Grann, Toni Morrison, Julia Child, Donna Tartt, Stephen King, James Baldwin, and Joan Didion. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, excels at multi-tasking, and is excited by the opportunity to work on campaigns for a variety of bestselling books.  

 

Specific responsibilities include:   

  • Recent graduate; 1 – 2 years working in the publishing or media industry 

  • Excellent organization and communication skills 

  • Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment 

  • Problem-solving/troubleshooting skills a must 

  • Attention to detail and facility with numbers/data 

  • Work from offices at 1745 Broadway 3 days a week

  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint a must.  An assessment test in PowerPoint will be required for all candidates.  

  • Familiarity with Airtable and Basecamp a plus 

  • Familiarity with Photoshop and/or Canva a plus 

 

This is a hybrid position based out of our New York City office at 1745 Broadway. We welcome applicants who are within commuting distance, including those in the tri-state area (NY/NJ, CT, and PA) or along the Northeast Corridor. 

 

The salary for this position is $56,000.00. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to Company results.
