2025 Summer Remote Internship: Sales

Our sales teams manage Penguin Random House’s relationship with the community of booksellers around the globe.  The sales team works to make sure that our books are available to readers in every place where books are sold: supermarkets, malls, bookstores, and online. The objective is to make books available for consumers and make sure they are well displayed and promoted wherever they are. 

 

Some responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with sales reporting and analysis,
  • Tracking key account shipments
  • Assisting with creation of presentations for selling to accounts
  • Attending department meetings and gaining an understanding of the day-to-day functions of book publishing sales.

 

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM DETAILS

Penguin Random House offers a 10-week PAID, REMOTE internship opportunity available in our adult, children’s, and corporate divisions. Interns are exposed to the publishing process and our business through panels, networking events, and employee speaker series!

 

Summer interns work for 28 hours per week and are paid $21/hour.

 

What you study does not matter!  We are looking for your desire to work with books, your drive to learn and your curiosity for the publishing industry.

REQUIREMENTS & ELIGIBILITY

  • Must be ready to work full-time on or before June 2026 (You do not need to be enrolled in college or have a degree to apply to our internship program).
  • Able to work 28 hours/week throughout the program
  • Available and commit to the program working June 9, 2025 – August 18, 2025
  • Must reside in the U.S. for the duration of the internship program
  • Must be over the age of 18
