Penguin Random House Grupo Editorial has an exciting opportunity for a Production Assistant to join our US Hispanic team located in Miami, FL. The Production Assistant will track all steps of book production from quoting to warehouse delivery. This is an exciting opportunity to work with books across multiple formats in a fast-paced environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Obtains pricing quotes from printers, studios and other freelancers.
  • Tracks costs against approved budgets.
  • Prepares purchase order requisitions for different vendors.
  • Reviews and approves final invoices.
  • Partners with audio studios to drive the production of new audiobooks.
  • Manages updating external and internal excel templates with metadata for new book releases and responsible for uploading metadata templates on to our internal content database. 
  • Sends book samples to media and special market customers.
  • Provides administrative support in the day-to-day operations.
  • Confident in handling ad hoc duties.  

 

Requirements:

  • Fully bilingual (Spanish / English)
  • Must be comfortable working with numbers.
  • Highly motivated with a determination to succeed.
  • Strong team player with drive to take on new challenges.   
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment and works well under pressure.
  • Highly organized with the ability to successfully deliver on multiple projects at a time and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • SAP knowledge a plus.
