Supervisor, Wave Planning 1st Shift

 Job Description:

  • Responsible for overseeing 1st shift wave planning operations across multiple facilities
  • Collaborates with management and other departments to meet expectations and provide a high standard of customer service
  • Coaches and develops staff
  • Handles Growth & Development and Performance conversations
  • Reviews time off requests to ensure coverage is maintained across all facilities
  • Review and approve timecards
  • Monitors attendance and address concerns
  • Effective management of high volume of emails
  • Works with manager on departmental goals as well as work independently to manage staff and departmental tasks
  • Identify needs and implement process improvements

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 yrs’ supervisory experience required
  • Continuous Learner who seeks learning opportunities without prompting in addition to required training
  • Bachelor’s degree (or AA/working towards a Bachelor’s degree) with a concentration in Business Administration, Operations or other Management field or other related certifications a plus
  • Self-starter requiring minimal supervision
  • Team player
  • Growth mindset with continuous improvement of self, others and processes
  • Adaptable and flexible to meet evolving business needs
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
  • Demonstrates ability to evaluate situations effectively to resolve problems and manage exception processing
  • Detail oriented & ability to see the big picture
  • Strong operational, analytical & problem-solving skills required
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational & prioritization skills required
  • Strong technical skills with proficiency using Microsoft Office suite esp. Outlook, Teams and Excel
  • SAP and/or MARC experience preferred (or experience with another ERP/WMS or other database a plus)

*Requires flexibility with work hours to meet business needs and shared responsibility for remote monitoring whenever staff work including weekends and occasionally Holidays in case of problems or when support might be needed
