We are currently seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Key Account Manager to join our dynamic Online and Digital Sales team in Melbourne.

 

Position Overview:

As a Key Account Manager, you will report to the Head of Online and Digital Sales and play a crucial role in maximising book sales across a selection of our retail partners. Your portfolio will include books in print, eBook, and audio formats. This role demands a strategic thinker with a passion for books and a knack for building strong relationships.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Growth: Increase discoverability, visibility, and sales conversion for physical and digital book formats across a range of key accounts.
  • Account Management: Oversee the sales process from the presentation of sales materials to the processing and tracking of orders.
  • Market Analysis: Identify market, promotional, and pricing opportunities within each account.
  • Campaign Coordination: Connect marketing campaigns to promotional activities to drive sales.
  • Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports, both written and verbal, to provide insights and feedback on market opportunities, marketing proposals, promotional plans, consumer trends, and sales performance.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Educational Background: A tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in sales, with a proven track record of using feedback and data analysis to make informed and strategic decisions.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable Attributes:

  • A passion for books and a proactive approach to identifying sales opportunities.
  • A champion of process and operational improvements aimed at achieving the best sales outcomes.
  • A growth mindset and an analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • Previous experience in the publishing or book industry is highly desirable.
