  • Being able to communicate, with ease, to a range of stakeholders including international colleagues, internal departments, authors, agents, event organisers and media.
  • Organise and manage author events with key partners, individually and as part of wider tour strategies.
  • Representing Penguin Random House at varying events, including meetings, and presentations.
  • Setting up a variety of interviews and addressing ad hoc requests for a range of Penguin Random House titles across the local and international lists.

You are:

  • A creative and clear thinker with exceptional organisational skills, an ability to multitask and react quickly to opportunities.
  • Able to adapt to new systems proficiently.
  • Manage multiple projects at one time and have a proven ability to facilitate strong relationships across a range of stakeholders.
  • Able to identify a range of media angles applicable to a variety of mediums.
  • Passionate about books and reading, with a strong understanding of national and regional print, broadcast, and online media.
  • Creative, enthusiastic, and able to work under pressure.

You will ideally have experience in a similar Publicist role, and an understanding of national and regional print, broadcast and online media.  You will have a passion for books and reading and have a keen interest in/knowledge of Australian new and emerging media.
