Jackets and Sales Material Coordinator - DK Licensing

Are you passionate about the world of publishing and pop culture? Do you thrive in a collaborative environment where your organisational skills can truly shine?

DK Licensing, known for partnering with iconic brands such as LEGO, Disney, Minecraft, Rebel Girls, Pokémon, and Marvel, is seeking an ambitious Jacket and Sales Material Coordinator to join our team and help create bestselling books for dedicated fans.

As the Jackets and Sales Material Coordinator, you will coordinate sales materials and ensure our projects run smoothly from concept to publication. You will collaborate closely with the UK, US, and International Sales teams to track and manage all DK Licensing sales materials, including sales copy, presentation spreads, metadata, sales catalogues, and Amazon assets.

You will prepare slides for global book fairs and internal presentations, working with the Design Assistant, ensuring that all cover designs, book specifications and copy are finalised and accurate. Your organisational skills will be crucial as you maintain sales deadlines and ensure the timely delivery of materials through close collaboration with the editors and designers. You will take the lead in organising and maintaining sales material trackers, coordinating physical and digital material for book fairs, and facilitating internal cover review meetings to keep everyone aligned.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to support the editorial team, including competition research, fact-checking, picture research, creating flatplans, taking in comments from proofreaders and consultants, and leading the reprints process.

To succeed in this role, you should have proven administrative office experience, ideally within book publishing. Strong communication skills are essential for liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders. We’re looking for a team player who thrives under pressure, balancing competing priorities while maintaining a keen attention to detail. Adaptability and flexibility are key, as you will need to respond to changing requirements and project needs. Proficiency in IT tools such as Google Suite and Excel will be vital in managing your tasks effectively.

A genuine interest in pop culture—whether it’s anime, manga, films, television, comics, music, toys, art, or tabletop games—will be a great asset in this role, although it is not essential. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to step into publishing and make a meaningful impact. If successful, you will join a talented creative team that supports your on-the-job learning, development, and wider training needs. You will also have the chance to take on editorial tasks and attend weekly meetings with the editors.

If you’re ready to use your creativity and organisational skills to shape the future of brilliant books for fans everywhere, we’d love to hear from you! To apply, please submit your most recent CV and cover letter by 24th November 2024. As part of your cover letter, please can you include the following:
