Head of Global Export (12 month FTC) - DK International

DK is looking for a  Export Sales / Sales professional with a solid understanding of the global publishing industry and a proven track record of delivering financial results while nurturing excellent relationships to join our DK International division on a 12 month contract.

 

Reporting into the Managing Director - International, as Head of Global Export , you will lead a team of 8 people to ensure continued growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction within export to drive our global success and play a pivotal role in shaping our strategic direction. 

 

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  

  • Creating and managing operational plans. 
  • Planning growth strategies, managing costs, analysing performance, and delivering profit.  
  • Using data and consumer insights to make informed financial decisions. 
  • Preparing and presenting complex ideas both externally and to senior management.  
  • Staying abreast of competitors and global market trends to seek out new business opportunities.   
  • Planning workloads and supervising the team to ensure efficient operations.  
  • Maintaining positive relationships within the International team and across DK.
  • Forecasting new projects and print quantities, collaborating with? third-party publishers, providing feedback on cover designs, coordinating with the Credit and Customer Services team at TBS
  • Planning seasonal marketing and promotional opportunities to increase sales.

 

Key requirements include:  
 

  • Background in international sales and marketing, with a track record of expanding market reach and increasing revenue.  
  • Awareness of global market trends, including emerging markets for publishing products and sharp commercial instinct.  
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills, with extensive experience in pitching to international clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyse market data and trends to make informed decisions and develop strategies.  
  • Strong time and task management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.  
  • Ability to handle diverse projects including market-specific sales presentations, territory performance analysis, distribution strategy development, sales and promotional planning, and additional ad hoc projects as required.


To excel in this role, you will need proven experience in expanding international markets and expertise in global exports. We seek a results-driven individual with enthusiasm and innovative ideas, who can lead and inspire the team while building international partnerships and developing strategic export plans.
