Your Mission

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Product Owner (f/m/d) to join our Global Technology team at our Berlin headquarters. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of software products within the Global Technology team, ensuring they are strategically aligned with both business objectives and technology goals. You will work in close collaboration with business stakeholders and development teams, championing customer needs throughout the product development process. Please note: This is a temporary position for an initial period of 6 months.

 

What You'll Be Doing

  • Spearhead the ownership and management of software products within the IT & Technology team, including the crucial provision of data to downstream departments and systems.
  • Gain a deep understanding of overall business strategy and needs to effectively manage and prioritize the product roadmap and backlogs. This involves balancing short-to-medium term benefits with long-term business and technology goals to maximize product stability and scalability while minimizing technical debt.
  • Act as a key partner to business stakeholders, other technology team members, and developers to conceptualize new products, prioritize work items, and achieve overarching business and technological goals.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer within the Technology Group, empowering business users to achieve better, measurable outcomes.
  • Act as a vital liaison, representing Technology to business functions and vice versa.
  • Manage software release planning in close collaboration with development teams, ensuring continuous and transparent communication with business stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and resolve blockers to prevent impediments to the successful completion of critical business tasks.
  • Validate product increments rigorously to ensure they meet defined acceptance criteria and adhere to agreed-upon software quality metrics.
  • Prioritize epics and stories to ensure alignment with overall business, product, and technology strategies.

 

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a comparable field.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, with a proven track record of driving business capability expansion, innovation, revenue growth, or cost savings.
  • Extensive experience as a Product Owner within a technology team, taking end-to-end ownership of product vision, strategic direction, feature definition, and backlog management for agile development teams and respective stakeholders.
  • Experience working with AI & Emerging Technologies.
  • Prior experience in the music business, ideally with royalties and/or copyright management, is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to deeply understand core customer needs and translate them clearly into an effective product development process.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathetically addressing the requirements of business users.
  • A keen interest in engaging and collaborating with a diverse set of teams and stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English is essential.

 

What Would Be A Plus

  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and/or Google Cloud Digital Leader.
  • Proficiency in German.
