Digital Workplace & Collaboration Engineer (f/m/d)

Your Mission
In a global, hybrid company like ours, seamless audio-visual (AV) communication is the backbone of our success. We are looking for a Digital Workplace & Collaboration Engineer to own and elevate our global AV and Digital Workplace infrastructure. Your mission is to scout, select, and implement best-in-class AV and Digital Workplace solutions that turn user needs into smart, scalable technical experiences. You will be responsible for setting and enforcing global AV standards in alignment with our parent company, Bertelsmann, and will provide dedicated, hands-on support to our executive team in Berlin, ensuring their high-stakes meetings run flawlessly. You will ensure the reliability of our AV tools when it matters most and join a network of peers to continually learn and grow.
What You'll Be Doing
- Research, select, and define the global AV technology standards for the organization.
- Collaborate with regional IT managers to implement and ensure adherence to global AV standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and asset management (CMDB) for all AV systems.
- Ensure all global AV systems are monitored and supported through local vendor contracts.
- Act as the primary consultant for AV planning in office moves and meeting room redesigns globally.
- Develop and maintain user-friendly training materials for all staff on meeting room technology.
- Provide expert AV consultation and preparation for company-wide town halls, webinars, and other major events.
- Prepare and test AV setups for high-profile executive meetings, working closely with executive assistants.
- Provide hands-on support and expert-level troubleshooting for escalated AV issues.
- Liaise with AV peers at Bertelsmann to align on technology strategies, policies, and changes.
- Digital Workplace support, on a need basis to alleviate peak workloads.
What You Bring
- Solid understanding of AV over IP principles (Dante, AES-67, HDMI Tx/Rx systems).
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Teams Rooms (on both Android and Windows platforms).
- Proficiency in O365 administration, specifically with resource calendar management.
- Deep knowledge of the current AV market, key technologies, and industry trends.
- Strong negotiation skills for managing contractors and vendors effectively.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Jira Assets for ticketing and documentation.
- Experience with both Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Basic knowledge of Zoom and Identity and Access Management (IAM) tools like Okta.
What Would Be A Plus
- Experience with Q-Sys audio, video, and control platforms.
- Previous experience in an L1/L2 Digital Workplace support role.
- German language skills at a B2 level or higher.
- Hands-on experience with the physical installation of AV equipment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Intune for device management.
