Your Mission
As a Controller in our Finance & Controlling team, you will operate at the crossroads of finance, creativity, and the music industry. Your mission is to ensure that our financial performance is transparent, well-managed, and strategically aligned – enabling our artists and creative projects to thrive. By combining analytical precision with a passion for music, you will play a vital role in turning creative visions into sustainable success stories.
What You'll Be Doing
- Prepare and deliver monthly financial reports (P&L, cash flow statements), including KPI monitoring, variance analysis, and profitability assessments
- Manage project controlling for artist signings, acquisitions, and business development initiatives
- Develop and update monthly forecasts and lead the annual budgeting process
- Support investment appraisals (particularly DCF models) and approval processes for artist signings and music rights acquisitions, working closely with Management, Creative, and Legal teams
- Advise creative departments (Marketing, A&R) on business-related matters, liaising with Legal, Tax, and Accounting departments
- Enhance and optimise existing controlling tools, leveraging BI solutions for data-driven decision-making
- Support senior management on strategic projects and ad-hoc initiatives
- Assist in the preparation and coordination of internal and external audits
What We Are Looking For
- University degree in Business Administration (or equivalent), ideally with a focus on Corporate Finance, Controlling, or Accounting
- Professional experience in controlling/reporting is essential. Experience in the media industry, particularly the music industry, is a strong plus
- Excellent knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards (IFRS/HGB), and investment valuation methods
- Strong analytical skills, data-driven mindset, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively
- Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment while keeping the bigger picture in mind
