Network Engineer - Cisco ACI and Infrastructure Management

Responsibilities:

• Active Monitoring and Administration: Proactively monitor, administer, and ensure the optimal performance and reliability of the Data Center network infrastructure, identifying and addressing potential issues before they impact operations.
• Incident and Problem Management Processes: Manage and execute 2nd and 3rd level incident and problem management processes, ensuring systematic and efficient resolution of network issues, with a focus on minimizing downtime and maintaining service quality.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams across the organization to support network-related initiatives, ensuring integrated, effective solutions that align with overall business objectives.
• Cisco RMA and Escalation Management: Coordinate and manage Cisco RMA cases and handle escalations, working closely with vendors to resolve hardware and software issues promptly.
• Cisco ACI Infrastructure Management: Architect, implement, and maintain a robust Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) environment, ensuring it meets business and technical requirements.
• Configuration and Automation: Configure and automate the Cisco ACI Fabric using APIs and Terraform, enhancing network efficiency, scalability, and responsiveness to evolving business needs.

Requirements:

• Educational Background: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent vocational training with a focus on IT/System Integration.
• Network Expertise: Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP at the protocol level) and experience in network monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Cisco ACI Experience: Proven experience in setting up and managing a Cisco ACI Fabric.
• Programming Skills: Experience in automating Cisco ACI environments, preferably using Terraform.
• Passion for Networking: A strong interest in routing, switching, firewalls, network topologies, and network infrastructures.
• Language Skills: Proficiency in English is required;  German language is a significant advantage.
