Job Description:

• Implement functionalities and various use cases on the BCP (Bertelsmann Collaboration Platform) to create an expert networking group, topic specific communities, solution sharing and more.

• Collaborate with project managers and clients to gather and analyze project requirements.

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.

• Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies.

• Optimize website performance and ensure security best practices are followed.

• Participate in agile development methodologies and Scrum processes.

Personal Qualities:

Proficiency in: 

Frontend:

• Angular
• HTML, (S) CSS
• TypeScript
• Implementation of responsive web design
• Integration with Restful APIs (RxJS, HttpClient, ...)​​

Back-end:

• Node.js

• Typescript

• Designing and implementing RESTful web services using Open API specification

• Basic understanding of how to use Terraform or similar infrastructure automation tools

• Ideally experience with Azure cloud

• Ideally experienced with Node.js libraries such as Inversify, Jest, Azure functions  

• Bonus points: Familiar with CI/CD pipelines based on GitHub Actions

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Additional knowledge of other web development frameworks or content management systems is beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in web development.
