Reporting to:                                     Telco and On Demand Business Operations Manager

 

Main purpose of job:                        Handle and control of all materials in a safe, accurate and efficient manner and provide optimum material & build supply service to production. To provide a quality shipping service to the client in accordance with customer & Arvato requirements

 

Main tasks/responsibilities:

 

  • Offloading, checking & put away of all goods received from vendor’s internal & external.
  • Pick & issuing of all material’s as required, maintenance of call off program
  • Handling/storing & all movement of all goods within the logistics area in a safe, efficient and controlled manner.
  • Printing from SAP daily shipping requirements, shipping off SAP. “Real Time”
  • Buddy check of all material movement.
  • Cross training.  
  • Liaise with and support departments with reference to material availability & movement – call off‘s shortages & recommits etc.
  • Documentation & control, metrics & reporting 
  • Issuing of shipping instruction to freight forwarders - booking carriers, admin, delivery confirmations, delivery service, communications etc. 
  • Carrying out regular cycle counts/physical inventories.
  • Maintain & adhere to the highest level of inventory accuracy within internal warehouse – maintenance interim bins, system integrity. 
  • Ensure & improve a high level of safety & housekeeping standards are maintained throughout logistics – use of reach & counter balance - wearing of PPE.
  • Ensure working within all company policies & procedures & adherence to security regulations.
  • Stock Management - Material Obsolescence – Purge Process. 
  • Cost Reduction – consolidation of requirements materials, transport & services.
  • Assist with queries relative to logistics in a co-operative and timely manner - escalation procedure.
  • Obtain P.O.D.’s as required by client services, finance or other relevant departments in a timely manner.
  • Assist in continuous development & improvement process within the H3G business area.
  • Other duties as may be required

  • You will be required to be flexible in this role and must be prepared to perform other tasks and undertake additional duties in any area of the business as determined by Management. These tasks may be outside your normal work area
  • You will ensure compliance to the conditions of the Wholesale Distribution Authorisation and Good Distribution Practice.
  • You will comply with the requirement of the QMS for Arvato Ireland.

 

Essential Requirements:

 

Technical Competencies

  • Relevant experience in a similar role
  • Relevant stores/shipping experience
  • Knowledge of good stock keeping procedures & systems
  • PC Literate
  • ERP Systems experience
  • Communicative English (Written & Oral)
  • Numerical Skills

Desirable Requirements:

  • SAP knowledge & experience
  • Experience working in a high tech environment
  • Knowledge & experience of Six Sigma processes & procedures
  • Fork truck driving certification & experience
