This position will be responsible for defining, implementing, and managing the supply chain process for a global supplier base. The successful candidate will possess demonstrated expertise establishing supplier relationships, supplier quality metrics, driving material and logistics costs down, and designing an effective strategy to minimize inventory levels, while meeting all planned production requirements. In addition, will be responsible for the company-wide procurement function for inventory, capital equipment, supplies, and other requirements, as defined.

Supplier Performance:

Individual will locate, select, qualify, and manage all supplier interactions and relationships to ensure an uninterrupted supply of required materials, goods and services, meeting the incoming quality metrics. Will provide platform to assess sustainability of supplier base, including financial strength, geographical considerations, capacity constraints, and supplier’s reliance on up-stream providers. May be required to visit domestic and international supplier locations as part of the qualification and sustainability initiative. Will manage supplier rating and grading system to ensure reliability and consistency of raw materials. Will determine need for multiple sourcing structures and manage balancing of suppliers to maintain consistent pricing, quality, and delivery expectations.


  • Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain.
  • Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.
  • Develops and maintains detailed inventories of materials and supplies located in the company.
  • Maintains required quantity of supplies and materials to optimize production.
  • Purchase commodities and services to meet organization’s needs.
  • Analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company.
  • Develops policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implements subsequent changes to processes.
  • Negotiates prices for raw material and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies.
  • Participates as an advisory member of the product development team, providing information and guidance on availability and cost of supplies and materials.
  • Acts as part of the team coordinating engineering changes, product line extension, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions.
  • Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
  • Proponent of teamwork, collaboration and willingness to accept additional responsibilities and roles as needed by the company.

  • Must be willing to travel as required.
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP system SAP

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain/Logistics.
  • 5-7 years required of direct supply chain experience with demonstrated focus on driving cost reduction and supplier performance.
  • ISO experience highly preferred.
  • Must have successful record of establishing global supplier base and proficiency in negotiating costs of goods and logistics.
  • Must have demonstrated success in creating commodity strategies and a strong working knowledge of master scheduling and planning.
