Inventory Control Supervisor

Position Summary: 

Responsible for the daily handling, warehousing, and distribution of materials. 

 

Overall Responsibilities: 

  • Supervise performance objectives through timely and effective distribution resource management and response to variable priorities, volume and business conditions  
  • Develops and maintains operations planning and controls to enhance and improve finished goods distribution along with the handling, warehousing, and disbursement of raw materials  
  • Interprets company policies to employees and enforces safety regulations  
  • Establishes or adjusts work schedules to meet shipment deadlines  
  • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate employees 

 

Minimum Requirements: 

  • General Safety training to perform the job 
  • Excellent skills in mathematics necessary 
  • Forklift license required 
  • Knowledge of Windows NT computer systems required 
  • Bachelor’s Degree, or six years of work experience in a Warehouse environment required 
  • APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification preferred 

 

Physical Demands & Work Environment:   

  • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds overhead 
  • May have to reach heights up to 40 feet using a lift truck, order picker, or Turret truck 
  • Must be able to climb and stack cartons at a height of 15 feet 
  • Must be able to push and pull pallet jacks with weight ranges up to 1500 pounds 
  • May work with hazardous materials
