Position Summary: 

Arvato Supply Chain Solutions is hiring a self-motivated and entrepreneurial-minded Director of Business Development to join our growing team! In this role, you will be able to leverage you exceptional communication and team leadership skills to generate and acquire new business in North America in the Consumer Products industry (primarily fashion and beauty). You will also collaborate with our European sales team in expanding sales of Arvato in the US with a focus on value-added logistics, warehousing, B2C and B2B distribution, financial services and omnichannel solutions.


The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of logistics, warehousing, fulfillment, eCommerce, omnichannel and order-to-cash supply chain management, detailed knowledge of the target industries (fashion, apparel, beauty, cosmetics, jewelry) and an active network to key decision-makers.


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Generate new business in target markets with a primary focus on value-added logistics, warehousing, B2C distribution and end-to-end supply chain solutions.
  • Work with Solution Design and Logistics Engineering on the creation of competitive proposals and develop new service offerings based on the detailed and documented insight of market and client needs.
  • Manage and maintain a structured analysis of target markets & clients and documentation in CRM system. Particularly for selected large target accounts, manage and maintain detailed global account plans and coordinate international sales activities.
  • Provide market intelligence and feedback to the global and regional teams on market & industry developments and competitors’ developments.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key contacts at potential clients, consulting companies and partners in order to get access to new opportunities. 


Job Requirements and Qualifications: 

  • Highly self-motivated and success-driven professional with 5+ years of experience in solution selling & new business development (eCommerce, omnichannel, logistics / supply chain management)
  • Strong knowledge of D2C eCommerce solutions and omnichannel processes, including frontend, payment, fraud prevention, online marketing, fulfillment, value-added services, return management, and transport management
  • Bachelor's degree level, preferable Master's level. Specialized qualifications in SCM related disciplines will be advantageous


Travel Requirements: 

  • Willing to travel at least 50% of time regionally and internationally.
