The role/The team:
Fremantle’s Digital Transformation programme is responsible for modernizing and unifying Fremantle’s global production and distribution businesses. As part of this, we are launching an internal catalogue of Fremantle’s historic produced and distributed content.
The data to populate this catalogue comes from a wide range of sources with varying levels of accuracy and duplication. We are looking for a metadata co-ordinator to support the clean-up and enrichment of the catalogue.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with global production businesses to assess their production catalogue entries for accuracy and identify resolutions for any mistakes identified
- Search internal archives for imagery to attach to shows, seasons and episodes within the catalogue
- Tag records with unique identifiers to enable matching of shows, seasons and episodes between systems
- Search external resources such as Google to find additional sources of information to validate old or difficult-to-identify content
- Proactively identify and remedy data quality issues within the catalogue
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Ability to work in Excel to evaluate and clean data is key to success in this role
- SQL
- High levels of organisation and ability to categorise concepts into a hierarchy
- Ability to research companies and topics using Google and other external resources
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Experience with databases and API-driven ecosystems
- Prior work with TV and film metadata
- Experience with EIDR data standards
- Broad understanding of the television and film industries and how shows, seasons and episodes are organized
