SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Senior UX Designer to collaborate with product management, data science, and engineering from initial research and product definition through concepting, detailed design, prototyping, user testing, and implementation. This role covers two complementary areas: (1) manager-facing analytics and explainability XU for an advanced predictive model that evaluates the risk of clinical employees’ attrition and engagement and (2) mobile-first workflows – including career development, progression pathways, engagement loops, Pulse Surveys, Recognition, Manager Dashboards and Mobile Experiences that generate high quality signals for the predictive model.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Working closely with product managers, data scientists, business stakeholders, and technology teams to define analytics UX patterns (dashboards, detail views, alerts), develop a shared vision and lead a process to define and design experiences, including wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs, that deliver on shared objectives.  
  • Taking accountability for strategic research with key personas in clinical settings, design and user-experience decisions related to core and new functions and features.  
  • Independently leading user research efforts, including both qualitative (e.g., interviews, usability testing) and quantitative (e.g., surveys, usage data, A/B tests) methods; synthesize findings into actionable insights that inform design priorities. 
  • Managing stakeholder expectations and needs to keep teams aligned and bought into the product design vision and keep deliverables on track.  
  • Providing and seeking out feedback from peers across the organization to advocate for UX and improve your own skills  
  • As part of your leadership growth, sharing your knowledge: collaborating with other designers, speaking on UX topics, and/or proactively educating others.  

 

YOU’VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES IF YOU HAVE:

  • 7+ years of experience in UX design, with a portfolio showcasing your work.
  • Bachelor’s Degree  
  • Information visualization and interaction design for analytics; ability to simplify complex signals and multi-metric views. 
  • Explainable AI UX: communicating confidence, limitations, and implications transparently. 
  • Workflow simplication and habit-forming design for high-frequency tasks. 
  • Mobile ergonomics, micro-interactions, and clear information architecture for multi-step flows. 
  • Proficient in using wireframes to solve complex design challenges and communicate intricate design ideas, such as wireframing complex user journeys. 
  • Designs seamless, end-to-end interaction flows that span multiple devices and user contexts; progressive disclosures for advanced users. 
  • Build high-fidelity prototypes with advanced interactions and ensure accessibility is deeply integrated into every design. 
  • Creates and refines design metrics in collaboration with product and data teams; uses A/B testing and feedback loops to measure UX impact on both user goals and business KPIs. 
  • Proactively seeks out opportunities to improve collaboration and performance 
  • Uses research, feedback and evaluation to continually improve decision-making skills 
  • Confident understanding and the ability to advocate for UX best practices, emphasizing accessibility and inclusion. 
  • Solves complex information architecture problems such as multi-product navigation systems and ensures content and structures scale across user needs and product evolution. 
  • Ability to think critically, solve complex problems, and make data-driven decisions. 
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar. 
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies. 
  • Empathy and aptitude for learning our diverse clients’ businesses and day-to-day experiences to better deliver intuitive, engaging, and effective product designs. 

 

IT WOULD BE IDEAL IF YOU HAVE:

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process  
  • Capability with the Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Miro. 
  • Experience with complex SaaS products, especially in a healthcare context 
  • Familiarity with HTML and CSS

IN OFFICE REQUIREMENT:

Relias values collaboration and wants to ensure that our team members have opportunities to work with their teams regularly for professional development opportunities. Our flexible hybrid work environment requires that you live in the state of North Carolina, within a commutable distance to our office (~1-hour commute from the Raleigh/Durham airport). You would be expected to work in our Morrisville, NC Headquarters approximately 30/40 days/quarter.
