Job Description


We're looking for an enthusiastic and collaborative Scrum Master to play a key role in driving the adoption and continuous improvement of AGILE ways of workingwithin our Fulfilment and Data Team, supporting the work delivered across our Amazon Operations and Distribution Data teams. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cross-functional teams, helping to create an environment where collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement can thrive. By championing AGILE principles and practices, you'll support teams in delivering meaningful process and technology improvements that have a real impact on how we work.

 

This is a part-time, fixed-term opportunity at 25 hours per week, until October 2027.

 

Role Summary

 

As Scrum Master, you will facilitate and embed effective AGILE ways of working across our internal and cross-departmental projects, ensuring teams have the structure, tools, and support needed to deliver successfully. You’ll help foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement, removing obstacles, supporting team development, and enabling efficient delivery of process and technology initiatives. Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you’ll play a vital role in helping teams adapt, evolve, and achieve their goals while driving lasting business improvement.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Manage each project’s scope and timeline 
  • Facilitating scrum events and ceremonies 
  • Coach team members to use Agile practises and values; train team in areas where increased understanding delivers increased productivity 
  • Facilitate internal communication (discussions, decision making and conflict resolution) and foster effective collaboration 
  • Work with stakeholders to manage backlogs and new requests 
  • Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint 
  • Help build a productive environment where team members ‘own’ the product/process and enjoy working on it. 
  • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency 
  • Maintenance and framework of Confluence, Jira Boards and Lucid charts including the team roadmap 

 

What you’ll bring

 

Essential criteria:

 

  • Proven experience of working as a successful Agile Project Manager/Scrum Master in a process/product development environment  
  • In-depth knowledge and experience implementing one (or more) Agile methodologies (such as SAFe, Scrum or Kanban), with experience from inception to outcomes 
  • Dares to be disruptive, fosters ownership amongst the team. A strong attention to detail
  • Values rhythm and organisation  

 

Preferred criteria:

 

  • Agile certifications are advantageous, particularly in Scrum, Disciplined Agile Delivery, KanBan

Salary

 

Circa £40,000 based on 25 hours per week, dependent on how your skills and experience align to the role, plus bonus and benefits.

 

  

Hybrid working

 

While our offices across the UK are places to connect, collaborate and celebrate with colleagues, we recognise that flexibility around where you work is just as important. For this role we expect that you will work from our office in Frating, Essex, two days per week.
