The Role
The Penguin Random House Rights teams help our authors go global. We work to sell PRH UK’s books into other markets and channels including North American rights: licensing our books to US and Canadian publishers for publication in North America.
Translation rights: selling rights to translate our UK titles into other languages.
Dramatisation rights: creating opportunities to turn our books into films, television programs and theatre productions.
As Rights Sales Associate, you’ll take charge of a wide range of administrative and sales tasks to support a fast-paced team, as well as work on group-wide projects. You will manage several projects at any one time and work to deadlines that enable the team to deliver a high quality of service to our customers. You’ll work on rights projects for many of our leading authors and will liaise with a variety of internal colleagues as well as connecting with key customers.
Key responsibilities:

Produce regular analysis and/or presentations of rights business

Help to organise rights events such as author receptions or virtual webinars

Provide administrative support, such as invoicing, processing contracts, creating reports and minute-taking

Provide sales support including book fair scheduling, travel booking, expenses, loading of deals on to database

Negotiate, sell and supply production files to customers

Prepare sales material in advance of sales trips

Negotiate and renew expired licences

Work collaboratively with other assistants in the team to improve ways of working

Salary
£27,500 plus benefits.

Hybrid working
