Marketing and Communications Assistant (Quadrille)
Quadrille is hiring for a Marketing and Communications Assistant to create awareness of and engagement with our books and authors to drive sales. We are looking for someone to provide administrative support for the marketing and communications team to facilitate the smooth running of the department, who has a keen interest in the books we publish.
The role
The role of a Marketing and Communications Assistant involves creating awareness and engagement with books and authors to drive sales. This includes supporting marketing campaigns, managing social media accounts, and assisting with event planning. Additionally, the assistant provides administrative support to the marketing and communications team, ensuring the smooth operation of the department by handling tasks such as scheduling, coordinating meetings, and maintaining records.
Key responsibilities:
Department – general
- Maintenance of the monthly calendar for Quadrille social accounts
- Creation of posts and briefing of assets
- Researching potential brand partnerships and influencers to build and maintain our databases
- Reporting on social media activity (eg. Weekly social alerts, influencer mailing round ups)
- Monitoring competing accounts to promote innovation and best practice in this area
- Assisting with email marketing, including sending extracts over to the Happy Foodie team
- Assisting with the company website updates
- Working with the Marketing Designer on the creation and uploading of A+ content to Amazon.co.uk, .com and .com.au
- Occasional support with preparation of trade sales catalogues and presentations
- Coordinating pack shots of the books.
Department – Campaign Support
- Creation of social timelines and assets for Trend campaign authors
- To act as point of contact for Trend campaign author queries, supplying social timelines and assets. Respond to reactive PR requests.
- Sending out invites, booking travel, helping to set up and attending author events
- Dispatching review and influencer copies and samples to partners, including liaising with campaign teams
- Support the Senior Managers with sending extracts to press.
Administrative Support to Team
- Updating and maintaining departmental budget sheets, raising and coding purchase orders or invoices
- Administrative support with departmental reporting
- Arranging meetings, booking meeting rooms, organising refreshments, and taking minutes
- General administrative assistance to the team as required
- Creating and manage seasonal materials on Box links
- Adding review quotes, awards and campaign styles to Biblio
- Tracking and collating press clippings
- Circulating weekly campaign updates
- Sending out weekly Waterstones grid

Salary
£27,500 plus benefits.

For this role we expect the successful candidate to work from our London-based office a minimum of three days per week (two of them being Tuesdays and Wednesdays), and offer two days per week to work remotely.
