Disponent Flight Department (f/m/d)

Bertelsmann Aviation GmbH is a commercial flight department based at Paderborn/Lippstadt airport since 2010 with over 20 permanent employees. In the field of commercial aviation, Bertelsmann Aviation GmbH operates two business jets and a maintenance facility certified as Part 145. We manage our own aircrafts based on individual passenger requests.

Your tasks

As a Disponent Flight Department (f/m/d) you will be responsible for flight coordination and flight monitoring of the company-owned aircraft fleet on all short- and long-haul flights. This is limited to two years.

This includes

  • Internal and external coordination, such as aircraft technical department, crew members, service providers, handling agents in order to optimize the utilization of the aircraft fleet considering safety and economic aspects
  • Organizing all aircraft schedules, to implement the time priorities of passengers in compliance with economic and legal requirements
  • Advising on passenger flight requests and deciding on their feasibility (destination and time) as well as offering any alternatives, if required
  • Crew scheduling considering the operational requirements of the aircraft as well as compliance with flight duty and rest times
  • Recording and processing of all relevant flight data in the central flight booking system as a central communication platform
  • Building up your own networks within Bertelsmann and take the initiative
  • Calculate flight routes and prepare flight documentation for the crew
  • Managing slot-situation to ensure on-time performance and respond to unforeseeable events
  • Organizing all travel needs (Hotel Accommodation) for Aircrew and Staff


Your profile

  • You have completed professional training and/or hold a university degree, ideally with a focus on business, tourism, or aviation-related fields
  • Zuverlässigkeitsüberprüfung (ZÜP)
  • 3-5 years of working experience in a general aviation flight department (advantageous)
  • Ability of handling complex tasks
  • Experience with DGR (Dangerous Goods)
  • Willingness to work flexible hours (e.g. weekends, holidays, etc.)
  • Very good IT skills, e.g. MS Office, dedicated software applications, etc.
  • Fluent in German and English
