Your Mission

Are you a trailblazer in the digital music landscape, ready to orchestrate groundbreaking campaigns and redefine how artists connect with their fans? BMG's dynamic Los Angeles based Hip-Hop and R&B team is seeking a Manager of Digital Marketing to join our ranks. You will lead best-in-class marketing initiatives for A-level and developing Hip Hop and R&B artists, owning the full scope of strategy development and execution across campaigns, data, and audience engagement.

Reporting directly to the VP, we're looking for a passionate digital marketer who is a hip-hop and R&B superfan, living at the forefront of this culture and already connected to leading platforms, creators, and networks in this space. We want someone who can conduct campaigns across every key platform and tool. Your fluency with trends and viral content will be crucial, helping to unlock and amplify an artist’s digital footprint for unparalleled campaign performance. You’ll also serve as an expert voice to artists and managers, using data and creativity to drive clear impact.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with artists, managers and extended teams to proactively create and implement innovative digital marketing strategies for artist roster, to engage with and grow audiences.
  • Lead the development and execution of digital marketing and own campaign planning, rollout, and performance analysis.
  • Closely follow (and create!) the latest trends and proactively strategize ways for our artists and music to lead cultural conversation and internet discourse.
  • Monitor campaign performance, with a cross platform and territory view, making strategic adjustments in real time.
  • Strategize & deliver artist database growth and CRM strategy, via traditional and developing means; email marketing, community-based platforms, messaging services, etc.
  • Actively engage with AI, new tech, and emerging innovation topics, to spark fresh ideas for marketing campaigns.
  • Conceptualize and implement content planning across all core digital channels (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X & new, relevant platforms as and when they emerge) with a focus on artist brand building and audience resonance.
  • Work closely & collaboratively with internal team, content producers, creative directors, videographers/photographers, editors and designers to deliver planned content.

 


Qualifications


  • You have experience in digital marketing or social media, preferably in the hip-hop and R&B spaces, with a proven track record of successful campaigns and cross functional collaboration.
  • You’re a master of top social platforms, stay ahead of trends, and drive the creation and optimization of killer digital content, bringing your social media savvy and data-driven ideas to the table to maximize artist reach and engagement.
  • You have a clear understanding of and passion for the global culture around hip-hop and R&B, with an ability to translate that to innovative partnerships, with a tangible impact on driving campaigns forward.
  • You can shape and execute cutting-edge digital strategies that elevate BMG's artist roster in a fast-paced, competitive environment on a global stage.
  • You have a high interest in AI, new tech, and drive innovation by integrating third-party APIs into product workflows to enhance marketing initiatives and user experiences. You’re interested in what’s new and next, and how to use that to drive positive fan experience.
  • You are practical and organized, familiar with music industry tools for analytics, smart-linking, advertising, social posting, etc. 

It's a plus if you also have:

  • You have worked across Integrated Digital Service Providers (DSPs), social platforms, or e-commerce solutions to create seamless digital ecosystems.
  • Experience connecting various marketing platforms, CRM systems, CMS tools, or analytics platforms to streamline operations and insights.
  • Ability to build custom data pipelines or automations to optimize workflows and reporting.

Pay Range
$70,304 per annum

The pay range listed above is dependent upon factors such as work experience, qualifications and business needs. In addition to the range above, this role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and applicable benefits.
