Job Description
Manager - Digital Marketing (Catalogue Recordings)

At BMG, we recognise the power of music and are dedicated to ensuring it thrives. We are a community of artists, songwriters, and partners, working together to create music and build lasting careers. Here, music creators find not just a business partner, but a trusted home where their work shapes culture and leaves a legacy. Together, we evolve and grow.

We believe that creativity flourishes when people feel they belong. That means building a culture where everyone can show up as themselves, contribute freely, and be treated with fairness and respect - whatever their background, identity, or life story. We’re committed to creating a workplace where individuality is valued, inclusion is intentional, and everyone has the chance to grow. All applicants to BMG will receive equal treatment regardless of age, disability, gender identity or expression, marital or civil partner status, pregnancy or maternity, race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.

Manager, Digital Marketing (Catalogue Recordings)
London

Your Mission

It’s our job to connect our deep repertoire of anthems, dance-floor fillers and chart-toppers with the people who love them on repeat, regardless of the platform they choose to listen on. For your roster of catalog artists, you’ll manage digital strategy, trend-based marketing, innovation, storytelling and audience development efforts. Your work will be driven by anniversaries, reissues / deluxe releases, archival content and trending moments. The focus is to work with talent and their teams to elevate their legacy with measurable outcomes: purchases, streams, saves, playlist adds and long-term catalogue value. This is a hands-on role in a team that’s evolving fast. We’re building new ways to use data, automation and AI tools to work smarter. You don’t need to be a technologist, but you do need to be curious.

What You'll Be Doing

Campaign Planning & Execution

  • Develop and execute multi-channel digital campaigns for catalogue artists, driving purchase, streaming, and discovery.
  • Strategically set campaign goals (e.g., fan conversion, algorithmic amplification) and manage budgets against performance benchmarks.
  • Oversee creative asset development and production, leveraging in-house, external, or AI-assisted tools.

Audience & Data

  • Leverage analytics and streaming data to pinpoint catalogue growth opportunities and define target audiences.
  • Contribute to audience segmentation and deliver insightful performance reports, focusing on actionable intelligence.

Platforms & Partnerships

  • Manage artist presence across all digital platforms and cultivate strong relationships with partners and industry representatives.
  • Monitor and integrate new ad products, platform changes, and emerging channels, including AI-driven music platforms.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with catalogue owners and artist management to ensure campaign alignment with commercial priorities and secure approvals.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing with global digital marketing teams and adapt strategies for local markets, ensuring clear communication across all stakeholders.

Ways of Working

  • Champion evolving campaign processes and proficiently utilize AI and automation tools to enhance efficiency.
  • Manage daily digital operations, including smart linking, content uploads, and platform management, to a high standard.

What We Are Looking For

  • Deep understanding of and passion for multiple music cultures, fan communities, platforms and trends.
  • 2+ years in digital marketing, ideally in music, entertainment or media.
  • Hands-on experience running paid campaigns across Meta, Google, TikTok or equivalent. We care about structuring campaigns for results, not certification in any one tool.
  • Comfortable reading performance data and explaining what’s working, what isn’t and what to do about it.
  • Strong written and visual communication. You can write a clear brief and present results to a room.
  • Organised, self-directed and collaborative. This role spans creative, commercial and technical teams across multiple artists and markets.
  • Curious about technology. You try new tools, explore AI products and think about how technology changes how fans find music.

Desirable Skills
  • Experience at a label, management company, DSP or music-focused agency.
  • Familiarity with streaming analytics tools (Chartmetric, Spotify for Artists, Luminate or similar).
  • Interest in AI tools for marketing - AI-assisted creative, audience research, automated reporting or prompt-based workflows.
  • Understanding of CRM/email platforms. Basic capability with creative tools (Canva, Adobe, CapCut or equivalent).
  • A genuine passion for music across genres.

Now What's In It For You

  • 25 days pro-rated annual leave, plus 3 days between Christmas & New Year and an extra day for your birthday!
  • Flexible working opportunities.
  • Subsidised gym membership.
  • Private Health Insurance.
  • Competitive pension scheme.
  • All parents, regardless of gender or sexual orientation, will receive 6 months of fully paid parental leave.
  • Annual gig allowance.
  • Artist showcases.
  • Cycle to work scheme.
  • Season Ticket Loan.
  • Workplace Nursery Scheme
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Give As You Earn Scheme.
  • A fun and sociable office environment.
