Head of Copyright UK 8m FTC
In this position, you will lead BMG's UK copyright team, driving efficient copyright administration, maximizing income opportunities, and fostering strong relationships with clients and partners.
This is a 8-month FTC covering maternity leave, starting in July 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team responsible for copyright administration, song delivery, sample clearance, and neighbouring rights.
- Maintain and grow relationships with writers, publishers, PROs, and industry organizations.
- Identify and capitalize on income growth opportunities for client catalogs.
- Manage sub-publishers and contribute to strategic decisions regarding BMG's sub-publishing network.
- Collaborate with UK Publishing and Finance teams.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives and participate in the UK Senior Leadership Team.
Your Profile:
- Extensive experience in copyright administration and music publishing.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Strong understanding of copyright law and industry practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with tracking and collaboration tools (such as Jira).
