HR Business Partner

 

Join our People Excellence team and contribute to the HR operations for BMG UK, ensuring alignment with UK and global HR strategies. Partner closely with the Vice President and Director of HR to align UK initiatives with broader HR strategies across APAC (Australia, China) and Continental Europe (France, Netherlands, Sweden, Italy, and Spain). Act as a strategic advisor for your designated client group, guiding employee engagement, workforce planning, talent management and organisational development. Champion a culture of creativity, inclusion, and entrepreneurship while providing best-in-class HR support and embodying the core values of Fairness, Service, and Transparency. Provide world-class HR service to all stakeholders and drive people strategies that align with business objectives.

 

This is a FTC covering maternity leave, starting in March 2025 until May 2026

 

 

Key Responsibilities.

 

HR Strategy & Business Partnership:

  • Deliver key HR initiatives across workforce planning, restructuring, resourcing, talent management, pay and reward, employee relations, engagement, and performance management.
  • Forge close and influential relationships with client groups and key stakeholders.
  • Act as a strategic advisor on employee engagement, change management, and workforce planning.
  • Provide timely, pragmatic HR advice and guidance in line with policies and best practices.
  • Create, review, and implement HR policies in compliance with employment law and best practices.

 

Employee Relations & Compliance:

  • Act as the Wellbeing and Mental Health champion, implementing initiatives and representing BMG in the Bertelsmann Working Group.
  • Manage employee relations cases effectively and coach managers in best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with IR35 regulations and internal processes for off-payroll workers.
  • Maintain accurate employee data, ensuring GDPR compliance across recruitment, HR, and administrative tasks.
  • Adhere to the internal approval process, aligning HR initiatives with the annual budget.

 

HR Operations & Administration:

  • Oversee payroll processes, HR system updates, and administrative compliance.
  • Ensure business strategy is underpinned by efficient and accurate HR administration.
  • Provide end-to-end administration support for all employment matters, with assistance from the HR Administrator.
  • Coordinate the annual performance review and goal-setting processes, supporting managers in effective execution.
  • Manage annual budget and bonus review cycles.

 

People & Culture:

  • Develop and implement employee wellbeing initiatives.
  • Empower a diverse culture and support our internal ERGs to ensure all employees feel supported and differences are celebrated
  • Challenge managers and employees constructively, inspiring diverse viewpoints.
  • Support the Global Talent Acquisition team in embedding inclusive recruitment practices.
  • Manage and coach junior team members.
  • Stay up to date with employment law changes and industry best practices.

 

 

Your Profile:

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a strategic HRBP role.
  • Strong understanding of creative work environments and how to tailor HR strategies to support talent in these industries.
  • Experience working in fast paced and evolving businesses.
  • Strong employment law knowledge and ER experience.
  • First class attention to detail and thorough in approach
  • Passionate about making a difference in a fair and transparent way
  • A passionate and entrepreneurial candidate who will enjoy working in an ever changing environment
  • CIPD qualified
  • A passion for music!

 

It’s a plus if you have experience working in global environments with matrix structures.

Pay Range:

£55,000 - £65,000 per annum

The above salary is dependent upon factors such as work experience, qualifications and business needs. In addition to the range above, this role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and applicable benefits as listed above.
