Job Description
Arvato is seeking a hands-on, self-motivated Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead proactive and preventive facility maintenance across our facility in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. In this role, you will be able to leverage your knowledge and experience in facilities management and work cross-functionally to maximize equipment and facility resources while meeting safety and budget requirements.
YOUR TASKS
- Supervise, guide, and assign projects to supervisors, project engineers, and engineering technicians relating to the engineering, development, maintenance, and special projects of all machinery and equipment
- Be responsible for overseeing all vendors on property, negotiating with vendors to reduce overhead costs, and any facility-related repairs and general upkeep
- Delegate work projects for the improvement of the efficiency and reliability of equipment used in operations
- Maintain equipment PM records and lead in reducing the downtime of equipment
- Assist and/or lead in research and development of new products, processes, or CAPEX projects
- Develop and modify equipment to meet the department’s production, quality, or layout requirements
- Vendors include, but not limited to, housekeeping, recycling, trash, and miscellaneous day-to-day requirements
- Assist in new building selection and fit out to meet Arvato specifications
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex conveyor, robotics, and automation systems
- Ability to support and troubleshoot WCS and PLC's
Qualifications
YOUR PROFILE
- At least 5 years in a Facilities Manager role or similar experience
- Must possess a BS degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience
- Previous experience supervising others
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
- Must be able to work long hours, including overtime if needed
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- Work shift: Monday - Friday | 7:00 am - 5:30 pm; weekends and nights are required if there are issues/outages
