Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Equipment Training Specialist to help build a safe, skilled, and high-performing team. In this role, you’ll take the lead in training and certifying Material Handling Equipment (MHE) operators while supporting the development of employees across key warehouse functions. YOUR TASKS
- Train and certify employees on MHE equipment (forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, etc.)
- Lead hands-on training sessions, evaluations, and recertifications
- Track and manage training records to ensure all certifications stay current and compliant
- Conduct audits and maintain accurate training documentation
- Monitor performance on the floor and provide coaching to improve safety and efficiency
- Partner with leadership to schedule and prioritize training based on operational needs
- Support onboarding and cross-training in warehouse functions like picking, packing, and shipping
- Help develop training materials, SOPs, and job aids
- Promote a strong safety-first culture across the site
Qualifications
YOUR PROFILE
- 2+ years of experience operating MHE in a warehouse or distribution environment
- Experience in training, coaching, or mentoring others is a plus
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and OSHA standards
- Ability to operate multiple types of MHE equipment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage audits and keep training documentation up to date
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Multilingual skills are a plus
