Ready to take the next step in your career as a Customs Declarant within an international logistics environment? In this role, you will become part of the implementation of a new customer at our brand-new location in Echt. Together with your team, you will help establish and optimize customs processes from the ground up while ensuring that import, export and transit activities comply with all applicable customs legislation.

You will work in a dynamic supply chain environment where accuracy, collaboration and continuous improvement are key. As one of the first Customs Declarants on site, you will have the unique opportunity to help shape the customs operation for a new customer and contribute to one of the most modern logistics campuses in Europe.

 

YOUR TASKS

As a Customs Declarant, you are responsible for ensuring smooth customs operations and maintaining compliance with international customs regulations.

• Prepare, process and verify import, export and transit customs declarations;
• Monitor customs processes and ensure all documentation complies with current customs legislation;
• Collect and validate data required for customs declarations;
• Identify discrepancies and coordinate solutions with internal and external stakeholders;
• Support customs inspections, physical checks and audits;
• Maintain contact with customs authorities, carriers, customers and internal departments;
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of customs processes within the operation.

 

YOUR PROFILE

We are looking for an accurate and proactive professional who enjoys working in an international logistics environment.

• MBO+ or HBO working and thinking level;
• A recognized customs qualification is considered an advantage;
• Experience in customs or international logistics is a plus;
• Good knowledge of MS Office;
• Affinity with logistics processes and administrative work;
• Good command of the English language;
• Flexible to work in shifts, with the earliest start at 06:30 and the latest finish at 21:30 on weekdays.
