As an Assistant Warehouse Supervisor, you’ll help implement the logistics operation for a new consumer products customer at one of Arvato’s newest locations. You’ll have the opportunity to take responsibility, improve processes and develop your leadership skills while contributing directly to a smooth go-live.

You’ll work in a modern warehouse in Echt that is currently under construction. Together with a dedicated implementation team, you’ll use systems such as SAP, Excel and other warehouse management tools to establish efficient, reliable logistics processes.

YOUR TASKS

As an Assistant Warehouse Supervisor, you coordinate the daily logistics operation and ensure that people, materials and workloads are properly aligned. You anticipate operational challenges, support the Line Leads and keep the Supervisor informed about performance, priorities and improvement opportunities.

• Prepare the daily operational plan based on staffing levels, expected inbound and outbound volumes, and the availability of warehouse materials.
• Lead daily stand-ups, allocate work, review the previous day’s results and establish priorities for the new shift.
• Support and coach the Line Leads, ensuring that they understand Arvato’s supply chain processes and can respond effectively to operational challenges.
• Monitor day-to-day logistics processes, identify obstacles and coordinate practical solutions to keep the operation running smoothly.
• Prepare daily performance reports covering processed volumes and incoming and outgoing trucks, draw conclusions and share your findings with the Supervisor.

You’ll join a small, dedicated implementation team working toward the successful launch of the new customer operation. You’ll collaborate closely with the Supervisor and Line Leads and report directly to the Supervisor.

This is an operational warehouse position involving shift work. The exact shift times and any weekend requirements still need to be confirmed.

Qualifications

We’re looking for a proactive Assistant Warehouse Supervisor who enjoys taking responsibility, maintaining an overview and helping a new logistics operation succeed.

• MBO-level education or equivalent working and thinking level;
• Several years of experience in a coaching or leadership role, or a relevant educational background combined with practical internship experience;
• Experience with warehouse management or ERP systems, preferably SAP, as well as good working knowledge of Excel;
• Fluent command of English;
• A well-organized and coordinating working style, combined with a strong helicopter view;
• A proactive team player who identifies opportunities, follows through on commitments and is willing to go the extra mile for customers and colleagues.

• A gross monthly salary between €2,560 and €3,349 based on a 40-hour workweek, depending on your experience;
