Job Description


 

Salary: £35,090.16

Location: Hams Hall

Hours: 40 hours per week

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will play a key role in driving the day-to-day success of our operation. As an Operations Team Leader, you will lead and motivate your team, coordinate workflows, and ensure we consistently deliver against our service levels, quality standards, and business objectives.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be at the heart of the operation solving problems, improving processes, supporting your people, and making sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Lead and inspire your team to achieve and exceed agreed SLAs and performance targets.
  • Plan and distribute work orders, ensuring workloads are balanced and resources are used effectively.
  • Coordinate daily operations, steering processes and ensuring business activities are delivered efficiently and on time.
  • Act as the first point of contact for process and technical issues, ensuring faults are investigated, resolved, and escalated to the appropriate departments when required.
  • Identify operational issues and opportunities for improvement, implementing corrective actions and monitoring their effectiveness.
  • Take ownership of SLA compliance, ensuring agreed service levels are consistently maintained.
  • Use SAP to manage and monitor operational activities.
  • Support resource planning, including staffing and infrastructure requirements, to ensure the team is equipped for success.
  • Create, analyse, and evaluate operational reports, using data and insights to drive informed decisions.
  • Maintain and continuously improve quality and service standards.
  • Take responsibility for people management, including coaching, performance management, development, and day-to-day team support.

Qualifications


 

  • Experience of working with computerised systems
  • Experience and understanding of working in a temperature-controlled environment an advantage
  • Able to demonstrate reliability, good time management and organisation skills
  • Good written and verbal communication.
  • Good numerical skills and record keeping skills.
  • Able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail.
  • Show the ability to take ownership of an issue, seeing it through from start to finish in a professional manner.
  • Strong customer focus.
