Business Product Owner (f/m/d) - Identity

Your role
Do you feel excited about how the Digital and the Television industry are coming together in regards to advertising technology? You are an expert on data topics and believe in the future of a privacy-first data-driven marketing approach?
Then you are in the right place. smartclip has developed a unique and fully proprietary toolset to enable data-driven decisions across the worlds of digital TV, web, and mobile advertising. We are now preparing the launch of our new smartclip Identity Cloud, which will enable our publishers to easily use first-partyand third-party data, along with probabilistic identifiers at their digital destinations. This new and unique approach will prepare our clients for the cookie-free world while also allowing them to ensure a convenient advertising experience. We are looking for the owner of this new product suite. Beyond the feature definition and implementation, you are also playing a vital role in the prioritisation of feature requirements. If necessary, you are also in direct contact with our biggest clients to directly discuss feature designs. The breadth of tasks make the job one of the most colourful and varied roles in our company but also requires a comprehensive understanding of the online identity space and a strong analytical background.


Your position in our team

  • Responsible for designing, having a clear product vision, and backlog maintenance, based on information from the business owners and the market, regarding identity approaches we offer to our clients
  • Handling communication with business stakeholders regarding requirements, business importance, and planning.
  • Ongoing analysis of the ID portfolio and eligibility of the different ID approaches for the different types of inventories and buying channels
  • Contributes and assists in the creation of the general product roadmap by supplying clear feature requirements with appropriate business-based prioritisation.
  • Responsible for understanding the product completely both  from a business and technical perspective and able to translate the business requirements into initial technical requirements.
  • Joint client calls upon request to facilitate and assist in requirement clarifications and consultancy.
  • Monitors the use and success of the responsible products and supplies our training and product marketing team with input to have and maintain appropriate functional documentation.

Your profile

  • At least 2 years of experience in Product Ownership/Management in the adtech/martech area, ideally in the field of data management tools and platforms
  • First Experience and/or understanding of online identity approaches and the vendor space
  • A good understanding of machine learning and predictive analytics uses as well as clustering and segmentation approaches 
  • Good understanding of privacy legislation and ideally experiences from privacy-related technical projects
  • Working knowledge of product development architectures and processes
  • Ability to balance technical knowledge with business sense
  • High degree of organisational skills, individual initiative, and personal accountability
  • Proven track record in launching new products or features in partnership with the technical teams and business units.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire business owners to drive collaboration and alignment.
  • Fluent in English,written and verbally. Any additional language (German, Dutch, Italian and Spanish) is a big plus.
  • Higher level of education or professional experience
