Your role

Growth Product Managers are playing a key role in defining our business and product strategy on selected key topics. They act as an intermediary between smartclip’s main stakeholders and the business product owner teams to execute on the long-term vision of the company. 

 

Do you feel excited about how the Digital and the Television industry are coming together when it comes to advertising technology and ad serving, then you are in the right place. For our leading broadcaster clients you will be responsible for guiding and providing them with the right insights, the right products for joining both worlds together. With the digitization of classical TV and radio advertising a new challenge has arised: while traditional digital advertisements have been designed to fill an ad opportunity with only a single ad, modern ad decision systems need to be capable of filling ad opportunities with a sequence of ads which has to follow complex rule sets and also hybrid models of digital and linear ads are required. This is a new field in digital advertising and your role will be to do pioneering work in this area.

 

Beyond the definition and alignment of an overall product strategy, you will play a vital role in discovering what needs to be built next and creating a cohesive roadmap for our growth products. You assess what our users really want and create features that delight our customers. Growth Product Managers are involved in regular exchanges with our main stakeholders to advocate our product strategy and vision while also understanding their ideas and requirements. You are expected to be a customer spokesman, product visionary, team champion, and a strategic leader. The breadth of tasks are making the job one of the most colorful and varied roles in our company but at the same time requires a very good understanding of the business combined with a solid knowledge of at least one of our growth product fields, paired with very good communication skills.


Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Responsible for creating a comprehensive strategy for our growth products, based on information and requirements from clients and the market.
  • Defines a product roadmap together with business owners and stakeholders
  • Handles communication with internal/external business partners, regarding requirements, importance and planning of features. 
  • Contributes and assists in the creation of our overarching product roadmap by supplying clear requirements with appropriate prioritization.
  • Ensures alignment around our overall strategy and direction of the product. 
  • Understands and maps out the dependencies of our growth products and its features to 3rd parties and other business/technical product units. 
  • Willing to understand our full product portfolio both from a business as from a technical perspective. 
  • Manages client calls to facilitate and assist in requirement clarifications and consultancy. 
  • Monitors the use and success of the products and supplies our training and product marketing team with input to have and maintain appropriate functional documentation.

 

Requirements and qualifications

  • Several years of experience in a product management/ownership role in the adtech/martech area, ideally in one of our growth product fields: 
    • Addressable TV
    • Small and Medium Enterprises
    • Audio
    • Programmatic TV
    • Attribution
  • Hands-on product development, architecture and process know-how 
  • Ability to execute business requirements within technical boundaries
  • High degree of organizational skills, individual initiative and personal accountability 
  • Proven track record in delivering products or features in partnership with technical teams and business units. 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire business owners to drive collaboration and alignment. 
  • Fluent in English, written and verbally. Any additional language (German, Dutch, Italian and Spanish) is a big plus. 
  • Higher or Academic professional education or experience level.
