Key Responsibilities of the Role:

  1. Financial Management and Reporting
  • Production of the monthly business reports with concise and relevant commentary and ensuring their accuracy and integrity. Including providing pro-active, timely information to allow business changes or developments to be discussed or reviewed
  • Balance sheet reviews
  • Ensuring staff costs and expenses are accurately interfaced to the correct business area from HR/payroll feeder systems.
  • Maintaining a consistent and accurate forecasting process for the Business Units to allow timely management decision making to support the achievement of financial targets
  • Support the annual budget cycle for the Business Unit, helping business managers with the setting of stretching but achievable targets. Liaising with senior management and Key Accounts as required. Supporting the FBP (UK Operations) in the submission of the final budget packs including any supporting information as required.
  • Support the development of business cases with appropriate review and challenge, ensuring they are within any financial parameters and help achieve the business unit objectives, follow any appropriate financial frameworks or procedures (CRM UK or client) and liaising with the relevant Key Account function, support the overall p&l development.





  1. Working Capital
  • Support improvements to working capital through the education of business managers on (e.g.) the agreement of appropriate payment terms, minimising payments in advance.
  • Raise and maintain awareness of BVA and cash flow targets for business units.
  • Support effective accounts receivable management


  1. Business Development
  • Provide support and challenge to ensure costs put forward are validated and benchmarked as appropriate and realistic.
  • Act as finance gatekeeper for all costing provided to Key Accounts, Commercial or Sales functions


  1. Other Responsibilities
  • Provide financial support, guidance and training to business managers
  • Support the development of financial systems including SAP as required
  • Ensure compliance with group and local financial policies and procedures
  • Support Country / Solution Group / Corporate initiatives as appropriate
  • Help assess, manage and mitigate business and financial risks
  • Ensure an appropriate level of financial awareness and ethos across the Business Units
  • Support the key stakeholders as required.


Skills and Experience

  • Hold a recognised Professional Accountancy qualification such as CIMA/ACCA
  • Good Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail, but able to see the ‘bigger picture’
  • Ability to liaise with non-financial staff in a concise and clear manner
  • Strong communication skills
  • Team player with a ‘hands on’ and ‘can do’ approach


Travel across Arvato UK sites will be required at times with some overnight stays. Main client contracts supported are in Slough and the surrounding area.
