Occupational Summary
Work with carriers and customer requirements to ensure on-time delivery of orders in the most cost effective manner. Prepare shipments and complete all data entry and paperwork. Schedule carrier pick ups and coordinate loading on the dock to ensure quality and accurate shipment of customer orders.

Occupational Responsibility
Monitor order picking for shipment availability in the AS/400 and SAP systems
Perform all data entry for arvato shipments exiting Pleasant Prairie
Create all necessary documentation for shipping
Document, update and follow procedures and quality processes
Complete all shipping transactions in the AS/400 Log Pro, TMS, and SAP systems
Use carrier web sites to obtain rates, check transit and generate paperwork
Assist in routing all outbound freight on the correct carriers for cost effectiveness
Perform rate comparisons to utilize cost effective shipping methods
Contact carriers for pickup of orders via phone, fax, email or web-site
Load carriers as needed using a fork lift, walkee-rider or hand jack
Coordinate loading and oversee fork-lift drivers with up to 40 docks doors and multiple facilities
Monitor and adhere to customer requests and vendor specific requirements
Aid all facilities and personnel with requests and issues
Assist in training of employees and assuring proper procedures are followed
Communicate any work related issues to the Supervisor, Manager or appropriate authority
Maintain supplies and equipment levels for the work area

• Knowledge of  SAP system
• Experience with carrier shipping systems – UPS, DHL, and FEDEX
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Self motivated to work independently with minimum Supervision
• Fluent on the internet
• Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel
• Knowledge of the documentation of shipments
• Team Orientated
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Forklift certified

Plant Safety Responsibility
• General safety knowledge plant wide

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Physical Demands
• Must be able to lift/push./pull up to 50 lbs.
• Able to stand/walk for long periods of time
• Operation of a forklift
• Excellent vision

Environmental Conditions
• Office / Warehouse Dock Environment
• Occasional exposure to weather
• Moderate to Loud noise level
