Salary £60,000 including bonus & benefits


We have a brand new exciting opportunity in our Swansea office we are looking for AWS Cloud Engineers.


Your primary focus will be the creation and maintenance of innovative public cloud solutions primarily on AWS.  As an AWS Cloud Engineer, you will engage with stakeholders and clients as they look to adopt (or transition into) new cloud environments.


Working as part of an experienced team you will create and maintain solutions that match business needs and support existing AWS Cloud environments.


Primary Accountabilities and Deliverables


  • Build, operate and support AWS Cloud environments
  • Respond to support requests via tickets and phone calls within response time SLAs
  • Troubleshoot performance degradation or loss of service as time critical incidents
  • Building customer solutions, leveraging automation and delivery mechanisms for efficiency and scalability
  • Ownership of issues, including collaboration with other teams and escalation
  • Communicating effectively across stakeholders


The effectiveness of the role will be measured in the following areas:


  • The provision of Cloud platform and related services in measurement against the agreed SLA’s
  • The safe and stable integration of new Projects into the existing platform.


Essential Skills and Attributes


  • You must have strong computer and networking knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge of both Linux and Windows
  • Solid background supporting scalable, highly available services in AWS.
  • Excellent experience with AWS (or similar) beyond just EC2, S3, data stores, streams, and automation tools.
  • Need to have Implementation of security tools.
  • Previous experience designing and implementing AWS Cloud-based solutions.
  • Must have supported AWS Cloud-based solutions.
  • Experience in working in a control ITSM environment.
  • A successful track record support ICT system.
  • Strong systems automation & scripting skills.
  • At least one AWS Professional Certification
