Legal Operations Expert (m/f/d)

(unlimited, full-time) Join our team at our location in Berlin, Baden-Baden, Helsinki, Oslo, Varberg or Verl to build the next-generation fintech. Flexible working conditions are available.

Are you comfortable working with people from different countries and looking for new challenges in your legal operations career in an international organization? Can you multitask without losing your overview, and do you like a dynamic work environment with many legal operations topics to work with? Then you might be our new colleague!

About the role:

We’re looking for a Legal Operations Expert to join our legal team and drive operational excellence across the entire business—not just within Legal. This role sits at the intersection of law, technology, and business. You’ll help transform how legal services are delivered by implementing scalable processes, automation, and digital self-service tools that improve efficiency, visibility, and user experience across the company.

This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on collaboration, innovation, and getting things done. You’ll work closely with legal experts and stakeholders across the business to integrate legal content into delivery tools, streamline workflows, and enable data-driven decision-making.

Your tasks:

  • Develop and implement digital self-services for business teams to enhance our value-driven legal service delivery model
  • Drive process improvement and automation by identifying opportunities for standardization and applying lean principles
  • Build and maintain dashboards and KPIs to monitor performance and improve transparency in legal operations
  • Develop and deploy low-code/no-code solutions (e.g., Microsoft Power Platform, Bryter) to automate legal workflows and enable scalable service delivery
  • Act as a bridge between Legal, IT, and business, translating legal requirements into effective technical solution
  • Support and manage cross-functional projects that drive digital transformation and operational efficiency within the legal function and across broader organization
  • Translate legal and business requirements into user-friendly digital workflows and interfaces (UX Design/Legal Design)
  • Provide training and support to internal stakeholders on legal tech tools and processes

    Qualifications

    Your profile:

    • A bachelor’s degree in law, Business Informatics, Information Management, or a related field such as Business Administration or Information Systems (master’s degree is a plus)
    • 2+ years of experience in legal operations, legal tech, or law firm innovation roles
    • Hands-on experience with low-code/no-code platforms (e.g., Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, Bryter); knowledge of MS 365 Dynamics and its application in legal and business processes is a plus.
    • Strong understanding of legal department or law firm operations and service delivery models
    • Affinity for IT and AI literacy — you’re curious, tech-savvy, and proactive in exploring new tools to improve workflows
    • Demonstrated experience in workflow automation, process optimization, project management, and change management
    • Familiarity with data analysis, data preparation, and visualization to support strategic and operational reporting
    • Clear, confident communicator — able to engage both legal and non-legal stakeholders
    • A proactive, hands-on mindset with initiative, creativity, and ownership
    • Strong team collaboration skills and a continuous improvement mindset
    • Fluency in English; German, Swedish or Dutch proficiency is a plus
