Compliance Expert (m/f/d)

Become part of Riverty and help shape our path to becoming the leading partner for payment solutions in European e-commerce. As a Compliance Expert (m/f/d), you will act at the interface between the 1st and 2nd line of defense, advising Product Management, Business and other stakeholders on regulatory requirements and supporting the development of compliant products, services and processes from idea to implementation. You will translate regulatory requirements into practical business solutions and enable compliant product development.

 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Support international expansion: Advise Business and Product teams on regulatory requirements for market entry and international expansion, conduct regulatory assessments and support licensing analyses across jurisdictions.
  • Translate regulation into business solutions: Analyze regulatory requirements, assess their impact on products, services and processes, and translate them into practical business requirements.
  • Enable compliant product development: Partner with Product, Business, Operations and Technology to embed regulatory requirements into product design, customer journeys, controls and operating models throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Strengthen governance and risk management: Design, implement and monitor effective governance, risk and control processes within the product environment and ensure sustainable implementation of regulatory requirements.
  • Connect stakeholders: Act as a trusted interface between the 1st and 2nd line of defense and foster collaboration between local and group-wide stakeholders.
  • Shape the future of Compliance: Support compliance technology initiatives and promote innovation, knowledge sharing and best practices to build a technology-enabled and future-oriented Compliance function.

 


Qualifications


Your Profile:

  • Completed studies in economics, law or a comparable field
  • Several years of Compliance experience within a bank or payment institution, ideally with a focus on product governance, standardization and/or automation
  • Very good knowledge of relevant legal and financial regulatory requirements, including EBA guidelines and EU regulations and directives (e.g. PSD3, CCD2, AMLR)
  • Strong ability to analyze regulatory requirements and translate them into practical business solutions
  • Experience with digital tools, automation solutions and a strong interest in leveraging technology for Compliance
  • Analytical and structured approach, combined with a high level of initiative and a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with different stakeholders
  • Fluent in English (must-have) and good command of German (nice-to-have)
