The VP Marketing, B2C Growth leads a team of 24 marketers, building the strategic plans that will transform our consumer-focused websites into engaged communities. This role offers the opportunity to bring innovative marketing techniques and proven growth initiatives to a cross-functional group ready to support the need for better healthcare community and education online. The role owns the B2C division, which includes digital marketing, demand generation, and community engagement areas, and collaborates closely with the full marketing team, product management, sales, and analytics. This role reports directly to the head of the Marketing organization (Chief Marketing Officer).



  • Leading marketing efforts for our consumer-focused properties, including: 
  • Driving overall consumer growth marketing strategy, marketing roadmap and execution for community engagement
  • Managing channel investments, selections, and monitor to drive optimized ROI performance
  • Overseeing all consumer marketing programs, including paid media, SEO, social, video, sponsored, email, influencer, rewards, and others to grow audiences and achieve revenue goals
  • Collaborating with the CMO on new strategies for community growth, digital advertising, influencer marketing, and podcasting
  • Owning growth targets and collaborating with analytics teams to demonstrate improvement of conversion rates, audience capture, consumer engagement, and ROI across spend programs – keeping management updated with dashboards and regular reporting
  • Overseeing multiple B2C websites and apps, working across teams to optimize their performance, content, engagement, and integration with other platforms
  • Collaborating with Communities Product Line leader to identify opportunities to enhance overall value proposition via key features, capabilities and user experience.
  • Managing a stack of marketing technologies, working with departments to build a strategy that streamlines platforms while ensuring first class marketing automation and campaign execution
  • Demonstrating ability to prioritize multiple opportunities and maintain a clear vision to keep executives and key stakeholders informed
  • Applying experience in growing ecommerce and community properties to build a results-driven marketing engine, ready to scale and repeat across additional properties
  • Acting as a source of inspiration, mentorship, and expertise for the team, offering coaching where needed, with a focus on retaining talent and rewarding excellence
  • Looking for opportunities to professionally develop the PM team members internally as well as externally.

  • 10+ years of proven track record in growth marketing, preferably with ecommerce and community building 
  • 8+ years in a leadership position
  • Bachelor's degree, or, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma/GED and 10 years of professional work experience in the marketing field. 
  • Experience bringing together disparate technologies and websites into a unified platform and community 
  • Experience with mobile app development, website creation, and growing user-based marketplace/communities.
  • Experience working cross-functionally, especially with other marketing disciplines, sales initiatives, and product planning
  • Demonstrated expertise in customer growth with a focus on audience and ROI goals
  • Leader in modern digital marketing channels including, SEO, Paid ads, Paid Social, Video, Influencer Marketing, Podcasts, Email, and Analytics
  • Expert on growth strategies, engagement campaigns, and how to build communities through innovative marketing efforts
  • Experience with integrating CRM, CMS, Mobile apps, and multiple technologies into a high-functioning marketing engine
  • Knowledge of optimizing multiple paid strategies, including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Google channels, Facebook, and LinkedIn for audience capture
  • Well-developed analytical and strategic capabilities
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, seen as a relationship-builder within the company
  • Excels in inspiring innovative and creative approaches across teams, painting a picture of both what is possible as well as how to make it happen
  • Demonstrated ability to work through technical challenges in a cross-functional, growth-minded environment
  • Passion for community growth and connecting authentically with audiences



  • Master's degree, especially MBA, preferred, but not required.
