The Senior Product Manager will achieve success at Relias through the ability to drive revenue growth for the organization through the ownership and vision incorporated into the products.  As the owner of the success of products, the Senior Product Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining the product roadmap, incorporating feedback from internal and external sources regarding what market problems exists and how to solve those problems.  The Senior Product Manager will also own all business aspects of the product, establishing value-based pricing, and creating business plans to justify investments in products.  The Senior Product Manager will work collaboratively with marketing, sales, and client care stakeholders to not only ensure the products are successful, but also to provide the right levels of information and support to each of those teams to ensure they also meet their goals and objectives.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Partnering with Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Client Care, Support, and Innovation teams to identify business opportunities
  • Gaining a deep understanding of the prospect or customer’s processes and problems 
  • Based on customer processes and problems in addition to with competitive analysis, authoring requirements to solve customer problems
  • Creating the product/solution value proposition in the market and use advantages that position the product as essential to customer needs
  • Developing metrics to define what success looks like and drive product launches to meet these objectives
  • Providing input to proposals created by the sales and alliances teams as needed to help identify the right solution(s) and product(s) to meet the customer’s needs
  • Justifying or helping management justify product investments through compelling and customer-focused business cases 
  • Developing industry, product and persona knowledge to instinctively know how to provide relevant insights to marketing, sales, and the customer
  • Obtaining qualitative and quantitative data to validate the right features and functionality is incorporated into products to address market problems
  • Ensuring the right level of validation has been conducted on optimizing the client experience and incorporating into the product design
  • Leading strategic initiatives with executive stakeholder visibility

 

YOU’VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES IF YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelors’ Degree or comparable work experience
  • 7+ years of experience in product management and/or marketing role required
  • Demonstrated deep understanding of contemporary technologies and their applicability to solve healthcare business problems
  • Drive to invest time in knowledge acquisition and problem solving that can be applied in a professional context
  • Ability to get in front of a prospective customer and bring the credibility needed to help sales win the business
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, solid presentation skills, and proven ability to run effective meetings; comfortable interacting at all levels of an organization
  • Very strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to achieve results through influence
  • Can-do attitude with a demonstrated ability to get things done under minimal supervision and drive results across cross functional teams
  • Ability to own the product and drive results from those who have responsibilities to the product
  • Ability to develop uniquely strong customer loyalty contributing to low-to-no customer attrition for products
  • Ability to identify gaps in customers approach and create business cases that are in their best interest to justify decisions
  • Experience working with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams to ensure strategically aligned functional plans are being executed
  • Technical skills to identify the right customer solution 
  • Strategic ability to articulate customer value proposition and link product to the customer strategy
  • Willingness to become student of the industry and understand changing market place conditions and new products
  • Complete functional understanding of product features and benefits in a short time to be able to recognize integration opportunities
  • Experience working with direct and indirect teams to provide direction and guidance based on experience
  • Ability to work remotely without loss of productivity, integration to the team, communication, or collaboration

 

IT WOULD BE NICE IF YOU HAVE:

  • Experience with Pragmatic Marketing 
  • Degree in computer science, technical discipline, or healthcare specialty
