The Sales Operations Planning Specialist role contributes to the success of the Sales organization by managing sales planning programs, primarily TQM (Territory Quota Management) and SPM (Sales Performance Management).

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Providing sales planning leadership with coordination with Sales, HR and Finance
  • Contributing to the design and managing administration of sales planning inclusive, but not limited to Sales Headcount, Territory, Quota, and Sales Compensation Plans. 
  • Providing project management discipline and skills to manage complex initiatives including annual sales planning, annual sales comp plan production, on-going comp plan and territory changes, compensation dispute management and ad hoc special projects.
  • Working independently and providing the analysis and interpretation of sales and activity metrics to identify opportunities for improvement in sales productivity.
  • Partnering with a small team of sales operations and finance experts to optimize sales planning and compensation systems, data, and processes.

 

YOU’VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES IF YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration
  • 3 to 5 years of work experience in sales, marketing, operations or finance 
  • Proven experience with sales planning, especially territory and quota/compensation.
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
  • Strong Salesforce skills to be able to independently create reports and interpret data.
  • Experience with Xactly or similar sales compensation systems
  • Outstanding analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent MS Excel and presentation skills

 

IT WOULD BE NICE IF YOU HAVE:

  • Work experience preferably in a high-growth technology firm
  • Data analysis, database management & reporting, forecasting
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator
  • Xactly Administrator
