The JavaScript and Power Shell Developer is responsible for the configuration and maintenance of applications within the QuickBase database framework as well as end-user application support. Setup Windows Server automation via Power Shell and task scheduler.  The role also engages with the business customers often, helping to translate requirements into technological action.

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

 

  • Acting as an administrator of QuickBase and any other related applications as needed. Building QuickBase applications, functionality, pages, reports, and dashboards.
  • Setting up scripts automation in Microsoft Windows Server administration, via tasks
  • Evangelizing and championing platform excellence, including data governance, security controls, optimal administration of applications, user roles, table structures, etc.
  • Automating application workflows with the use of scripting
  • Translating user requirement and user stories into actionable items. (Will work independently on minor changes. May work with team on major changes.)
  • Performing day-to-day support, including user provisioning, troubleshooting and maintenance of applications.
  • Testing and QA any changes with peers and/or users as applicable.
  • Keeping current on available releases, technologies, and applications. Providing guidance to IT and Business leaders as needed.
  • Participating in day-to-day systems integration of acquired companies as needed. May include data migrations, systems design, configuration changes, etc.
  • Participating in larger IT projects, such as version upgrades or new implementations.
  • Providing end-user training support and related documentation.

 

 

 

YOU’VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES IF YOU HAVE:

  • 2+ years’ experience in JavaScript, HTML, CSS development
  • Expert knowledge of JavaScript with a strong understanding of JavaScript fundamentals such as prototype inheritance, composition, CommonJS/AMD module systems using RequireJS
  • 1+ year experience in Power Shell development
  • Full Stack web development experience
  • Strong Web development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, Angular, Bootstrap).
  • CSS compiler knowledge (E.g., Sass, LESS)
  • Experience with other JS libraries like ExtJS, Backbone.js, Angular.js, Node.js and other frameworks
  • Strong database management experience, preferably in QuickBase (or similar platform) as a developer or end user, with at least 1 year as an administrator.
  • Experience in Microsoft Windows Server system administration, and windows task scheduler
  • Good understanding of database structure.
  • Good understanding of Cloud technologies.
  • Understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.
  • Experience working with cross-browser compatibility issues.
  • Experience working with code versioning tools, such as Git / Mercurial / SVN.
  • Understanding of Agile software development.
  • Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image.
