The Director of Marketing Operations and Analytics is a critical player-coach in Marketing that not only drives day-to-day oversight of the Marketing technology stack, but also drives marketing performance analytics and reporting, outbound campaign deployment using Pardot and other marketing automation platforms, and oversees lead forecasting and management (scoring, routing, and attribution) via Salesforce.



  • Managing a team of marketing operations, email marketing experts, and marketing research associates responsible for the day-to-day operations of email campaign deployment processes, A/B testing processes, lead flow, and reporting.
  • Planning and directing marketing operational strategic and long-range goals.
  • Conducting organizational reviews to identify strengths and weaknesses and to evaluate operational effectiveness.
  • Defining and shaping the team to meet current and future needs from an operational and roadmap perspective.
  • Acting as liaison between Sales Operations and Business Systems to refine and report on lead status and flow, conversion rates, sales training, and pipeline creation.
  • Understanding data flows and integrations between all applications that impact lead flow through to closed/won or closed/lost bookings. Advocating for standardization and best practices.
  • Collaborating with other marketing leaders to translate business requirements into projects. Implementing, managing, and delivering those projects on time.
  • Overseeing management of Pardot and other marketing automation platforms, including process improvements and workflow documentation.
  • Keeping current on available technologies and applications to improve marketing operations. Providing guidance to marketing leaders as needed.
  • Advocating for process changes that align IT best practices with business needs. Being one of the IT experts in the room and advocating for good application design.
  • Creating, updating, and managing budget and budget forecasting for technologies within purview.
  • Managing business relationship, negotiations, planning, issuing resolutions with vendors within purview.



  • Extensive experience with Salesforce (5+ years) and Pardot (3+ years; equivalent experience in other marketing automation platforms okay); certifications and administrator experience strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience managing a marketing operations or sales operations team.
  • 5+ years’ experience in large scale Salesforce (or similar) as user or administrator, then manager over team, with at least 2 years as an administrator.
  • 5+ years of project management, business analysis, or experience in building business requirements.
  • Proven experience establishing processes within a large marketing organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of marketing campaign motions and tracking.
  • Experience in B2B MA.
  • Hands-on knowledge of GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and CCPA.
  • Thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Project management skills, including the ability to create buy-in, manage expectations, and deliver on milestones.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills, including ability to establish strong relationships with all levels of leadership.
  • Understanding and ability to create reporting using data visualization tools such as Microsoft BI.
  • Strong understanding of the marketing and sales lead flow and conversion points, as well as KPIs and how to report on them.
  • Ability to be both a player and a coach.
  • Ability to engage in multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle.



  • Understanding of or certification in Pragmatic Marketing
  • Experience in ABM
