The Cloud Administrator will be responsible for the maintenance, deployment and overall security of our Azure environment while working with the team to develop business critical decisions. 



  • Creating / managing cloud resources as directed, such as virtual machines, web applications, and storage accounts in Azure
  • Optimizing Azure buildouts for cost/performance (VM optimization, reserved instances, etc.)
  • Applying security and feature patches to cloud hosted systems using a combination of SCCM, Intune, and Windows Updates in Azure
  • Managing cloud services, including allocating resources and managing access permission at subscription and resource levels in Azure
  • Supporting on prem cloud solutions through Nutanix (AHV and VMware) and Rubrik backups 
  • Providing support for all cloud related resources such as Azure, Office 365, SharePoint and MS Teams
  • Identifying and resolving issues with Azure services and systems; escalating to Microsoft as needed
  • Installing new / rebuilding existing servers and configure services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements
  • Recommending, implementing, and fully documenting IT projects
  • Managing Azure AD connection sync from on-prem to cloud
  • Understanding and contributing solutions within existing hybrid IT architecture
  • Maintaining system integrity and security, testing and reporting
  • Implementing security, patch management, vulnerability assessments, backup and recovery
  • Fostering strong business relationships with Relias users
  • Keeping all tickets and projects updated and track time in a detailed format
  • Other duties as assigned by manager



  • 5+ years of Windows System Administration / Support
  • 2+ year of Azure Cloud Administration
  • Associates degree in IT, Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent work experience
  • Azure certifications (Azure Fundamentals and 2 other Azure certifications) 
  • Office 365 admin experience
  • SharePoint Online administration
  • Microsoft Azure and/or other cloud computing experience
  • Web servers and serverless administration
  • Microsoft Windows Server OS experience
  • Networking basics
  • Data backup and storage procedures
  • Scripting / PowerShell
  • The ability to work completely independently or with a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to multi-task and work across a range of projects and issues with various timelines and priorities
