  • The BDR is responsible for identifying and developing new opportunities for the sales teams to pursue.
  • BDRs generate demand by performing market research by reviewing organizations, outbound prospecting and qualifying leads (gathering information on potential clients and existing customers)
  • Calling/emailing prospective clients and existing customers to determine whether an organization should be considered an opportunity and thus followed up by another member of our sales team
  • Reach and have meaningful, productive conversations with individuals within targeted organizations.
  • Tracking your activities in Salesforce and working closely with management to monitor your trends and impact on the business
  • Assist with Marketing follow up after webinars, tradeshows and related activities



  • Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years business development or lead generation experience.
  • Ambition to perform in a fast-paced, sales-oriented environment
  • Active listening skills to assess prospect needs and opportunities
  • Ability to articulate a reasonable value proposition over the phone
  • Familiarity with telephone selling techniques and lead management processes
  • Knowledge of and other SFA systems and related tools
  • Confidence to prospect and develop new leads
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to be a team player; it takes all of us to make Relias a success!
