In support of the company mission, the Live Training Associate will be responsible for assisting with the live training component currently offered throughout California and potentially throughout the US. The person in this role will report directly to the Manager, Live Events and work closely with the other members of the Relias team. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Assisting with scheduling and operations of training classes that will take place in California (20-30 per month)
    • Identifying and scheduling appropriate venues for classes.
    • Assisting with minimizing expenses by negotiating partnerships with communities versus. hotels.
    • Coordinating and ensuring delivery of materials required for instructors and students.
    • Managing and tracking transactional information/attendance in a CRM system.
    • Managing updates within Cvent and budget sheet when class date or locations change.
    • Managing all new and updates to certificates that are in Cvent.
    • Contacting students to collect any outstanding payments for live classes.
  • Negotiating agreements with hotels and communities to host training programs.
    • Obtain locations for all classes
    • Negotiate coffee and AV requirements
  • Assisting students with their training questions/requests.
    • Answer certificate inquiries
    • Notify/contact students of any changes in class locations or cancellations
  • Compiling evaluation summaries for each class.
  • Completing other duties as assigned

 

 

YOU’VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES IF YOU HAVE:

  • At least 1 year of work experience in Event Coordination, coordinating multiple events in a corporate setting.
  • Minimum education of Associate’s degree required, Bachelors’ degree preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours (typically 11AM- 8PM) and be on call 5-7 days a week as needed.
  • Excellent communication skills with management, customers and support staff.
  • High level of proficiency utilizing Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments and quickly problem solve situations and issues as they arise.
  • Ability to handle several conflicting priorities, must be flexible and willing to assist and fill in as needed.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and work independently as well.
  • Strong oral and written communication and customer service skills.
  • Communicate and work in a respectful, supportive manner with all teammates.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to hit assigned deadlines.
